Sorry I've been MIA for a while, but I've got a good video for you all.
So I was on the phone with a new lady friend last night who happens to be from Minnesota and knows nothing about "guidos" so of course I gave her the whole wrap. I started looking up videos this morning and came across this one that is shot in home town Garden City at the most guido infested place on Earth. Anyone? thats right. Roosevelt Field Mall. Enjoy.

After some rigorous research on the interweb and sorting through several hundred reviews, I think this may be the place where I want to get my tat. The only thing is that you have to make an appointment. There are two locations... one in Williamsburg and one in Manhattan.
Take a look at some of the portfolios and see what you think. I am sort of partial to Virginia Elwood at the time being. But I still have to look over the rest of the artists.

PS
Just an observation, BUT, i'd say our amigo tom has a problem.
wasnt he the one who brought us 2 girls 1 cup?
and now he posts a picture of this guy shitting himself......
hmmmmm.......makes you wonder.
sidenote. wtf is wrong with this guy? (the person in the picture who shat himself) i mean honestly, what self respecting human being would honestly shit all over themselves in public and continue on their way....running no less...in front of hundreds of people along a race route. its not like he is a famous athelte who is trying to qualify for the olympics, or he is on world record pace, etc etc.....
dude has problems, and im sure he wont be getting a date anytime soon either.

JON!
I've hit the NYC Summer Guide jackpot. Please give me your email so that I can send this attachment to you. One of the guys from work sent it to me. It has everything we need to know, and more.
Also, let's address three items today....
1. Skydiving, pick a weekend.
2. Camping in Montauk? yay or nay?
3. Roadtrip/airplane trip (Chicago, Philly, DC, San Fran or Miami)
Chicago = $400 round trip, Heather Rennie's apt
SanFran = $500 round trip, Matty's apt
Miami = $200 round trip, Condo on the beach
pS> Let's definitely hit up the BK this weekend. I'll send out the word, but you tell me what day works best for you, Saturday or Sunday?

No one has an excuse after this
As I was parusing the pictures from the Triathlon this Sunday, I found this picture online. This girl competed in the Triathlon with us. We saw her before the race..... and believe me, this picture does not do her justice. That girl was fucking HUGE.
I would say, maybe like 300 - 350lb range. I think after seeing this, no one has an excuse not to try a triathlon, if they wanted to do it. Holy Shit.

One thousand people are killed everyday by movie set gun props.
One thousand dollar bills were never printed.
These giraffes have 1000 spots between all of them.
1000 Java Tips to make things easier.
One thousand dice, just in case you wanted to set a Guinness record for most games of dice played on a corner in Harlem. You could also set the record for most arrests linked to illegal gambling.
We made it to and past post #1000!
At this point, we are almost invincible.

Efficient Trains
Yes, I am on a sort of Engineering/progressive/activism binge this morning. Deal with it.
Check out this design for a train that doesn't actually have to stop at any of the stations that it provides service too. Maybe this is more interesting to me because I huck myself on the fucking LIRR every morning for the better part of an hour and a half. Pure, unadulterated misery (a.k.a. naptime).

Worldwide Cement Usage
I found this sweet chart that indicates worldwide cement usage by country. Although we seem to be sitting in 3rd place, holy shit China is a dominating communist super-power. I guess thats where global warming is coming from.
http://www.theoildrum.com/node/4162
"Cement is mainly used to make concrete, and is sort of the "active ingredient" in concrete - it is combined with sand and gravel in roughly fixed proportions. So cement production can be considered a rough proxy for the total amount of construction going on in a country.
This post updates Stuart's post about this two years ago (and yes, it's still a graph that will blow you away!) with two more years of USGS cement data, 2006 and 2007. The growth in China, from 1 GT to 1.3 GT in two years is mindboggling, even India and Russia are interesting...and there's more to think about under the fold.
edited to add: As a couple of folks pointed out--I have interchanged "production" and "usage" in this post incorrectly--however, China's 2007 cement exports were only 33 million tons out of 1.3 billion tons produced. So, at least for China, production is a good proxy for demand/consumption. My apologies for the mistake "
J&A concrete.... this post is for you.

Action Shot
Hey guys! Thanks for the post J-Mar!!
Hope everyone had a good weekend. Once again, very sorry to have been in hiding, but now I am officially letting myself go....... let's bust out the booze and food.
And even more importantly, what's in store for this weekend? Is anyone else thinking that we should go skydiving? No? No? Yes? No?
Eric also mentioned something about Camping: Round II. Eric is definitely in charge of organizing the next outing. I'll bring the air rifle and the bocce ball set. On the beach in Montauk? I think that's what he has in store.
How hard would it be to convince Vanessa to go camping? Impossible?
How about a trip to Miami for a long weekend in July? Oh man, fuck camping, let's definitely do that. We can sleep 8-10 people in the condo in Miami. It is across the street from the beach, bitches.
Here's a great shot of Steve and I after the figure skating portion of the Triathlon.

Hurro Fellas
This weekend I will be in hiding, sort of. I've got my (and steve's) first triathlon on sunday morning, so I will not be going out at all. Just resting. I was thinking of just going to the movies or something on Friday night. Keeping it super-low key. Lame, i know.
Anyway, let's take stock of where we stand as far as future weekends. I've taken the liberty of inviting myself and being as rude as possible. Enjoy:
June 14-15 - Father's Day and Triathlon
June 21-22 - ????
June 28-29 - Motorcycle Trip to Boston
July 4-5 - Spack's House?? (Am I even invited to that?)
July 12-13 - Rhode Island Camping???
July 19-20 - Boston???
July 26-27 - Miami???
August - Winery Tour??? (aka binge drinking)
August - Miami???
August 23-24 - Tobay Triathlon
The one's in white are weekends in question. Please let's pick a weekend for the winery tour and then we'll put together a list of people we hate and don't want to come at all.

Calendar has been removed.
Frank has been invited via email supplied by Mike.
Mike, tell me what to do with the hits thing. Or, I might be able to give you permission to adjust things. let me check on that.
As you guys might know, Mike and I are putting ourselves through a rigorous challenge of feminism this coming Sunday morning. We would love for you all to be there to cheer (throw tomatoes at us while we run, puts sharks with freakin laser beams in the bay, or my favorite, throw a stick in our spokes as we ride by on the pedalbike) us on as we face the challenges and then celebrate with us after we succeed in not drowning.
On a side note, the plan is to have a refreshing Guiness immediately after the race (9:30am, well hopefully a bit sooner than that).
thanks for your support ladies and all the kind photos of bikers being trampled by automobiles. Looking forward to seeing your pretty face along the boundaries.
I will leave you boys with this fantastic video.

First and foremost...... Steve! can you add thcurry@fordham.edu to our blog. I believe that is Frank's email address. He joined us on the camping trip and would like to be an avid contributor.
In Other News: I'm adding our URL to Yahoo! and Google today. Let our cult following begin. Please feel free to link as much as possible and we will get a ridiculous amount of hits. I will also be installing a hit counter at some point today. Hopefully. Actually, steve might have to do that. Can we get the calendar out from the bottom as well? Sorry for the maintenance request.

In the spirit of keeping an entertaining and visualy stimulating blog, i went out of my way to find some nice photographs to share with you all.....my personal favorite is the second photo, where the dude gets his leg torn up by a bull.....should have probably gotten out of the bulls way....also attached are more cycling photos for mike and steve.....
or should i say, mike, since steve is obviously to busy in his life to come on this blog and say hello to his friends.oooOOOooooOOOoooOOOoooooooOOOO

whoa, Tom. You have emerged from obscurity to grace the blog with you omnipotent video searching skills.
My favorite was the one with the "gooks."
- "Goddamnit, I'm proud to be a gook! And I was going home!"
wtf?
Anyway, I think you can have up to 6 in a boat, but the lady was saying that four/five is the best for strapping young lads such as ourselves. Once you hear back from the guy, let me know and I'll give a call. I don't think there will be too much point calling if we don't know for sure. I'm pretty positive it won't be a problem to add one more to the crew. The only thing now is that we have to take two cars, which is not a big deal at all. Might even work out better.
What time were you thinking to leave on Saturday? I was pondering.... high noon? Takes about 2.5 hours to get out to the boonies.
P.S. > The key thing is that people don't show up with their sweet haviana flip flops. Watershoes! Just kidding. Just old sneaks will do the trick. Other than that, its supposed to hit 90 on sunday. Hooray!
Do you characters have sleeping bags?
